National Clarion Easter Meet

Provisional details of the 128th National Clarion Cycling Club Easter Meet have now been announced which is taking place in Oakham, Rutland.
Oakham is approximately 70 miles from Dronfield which means that Dronfield Clarion will be in attendance with several members cycling to and from the event. This is a great opportunity to meet members of other National Clarion sections from across the country.
Further information can be obtained from the National Clarion website and will also be communicated to all Dronfield Clarion members once the final details are known.

Dronfield Clarion Spring Weekend to Rhyl
16 – 18 May 2025

The destination for the next Dronfield Clarion Spring weekend event is to the Travelodge on Rhyl Seafront. The hotel sits off the promenade on NCN5 and is in a prime position for a coastal ride westwards along the North Wales coast. All groups will be leaving Baslow and the distance is 100 miles. The hotel has given us permission to store bikes in the rooms and also provides cooked English breakfasts for Saturday and Sunday mornings. Rides on Saturday will include continuing down NCN5 to the Marine Drive around the Great Orme, Llandudno and Conwy. A ride down the Clwyd Valley into the Berwyn Hills is also being considered. As usual a meal will be arranged for Saturday evening.
Cost of two people sharing a twin room for two nights without breakfast = £85 per person (add £20 for breakfast). Cost of two people sharing a double/family room for two nights without breakfast = £85 per person  (add £20 for breakfast). Cost of one person with sole use of a double/family room for two nights without breakfast = £170 (add £20 for breakfast). A number of rooms have been reserved.
